The Kaiser Family Foundation and Journal of the American Medical Association found that “average annual per capital spending among U.S. women ages 10-34 was $3,402 in 2015 compared to $1,891 among men. For women ages 35-44, the spending amount was $4,717 compared to $2,518 among men.”[2]

Financial distress and fear of cost is why 65 million people in the U.S. did not take receive healthcare services in the past year.

Then there’s the time factor. Twenty seven percent of Americans don’t go to the doctor because they don’t want to take time off of work.[3]
