Providers and payers, how are you making healthcare affordable and easy for consumers?

Money and time. Two things we value yet don’t seem to have enough of when it comes to healthcare.

It’s an understatement to say that many, many people struggle to afford healthcare across this country. Over half of the people in Texas, the largest of the contiguous 48 states, cannot afford it. According to a 2019 state-wide poll off 1,210 by the Episcopal Health Foundation, “55 percent of respondents said it is difficult for them and their family to afford healthcare. Twenty-seven percent of respondents said it is very difficult.”[1]

If you look at gender, women, the main shoppers in the family, are hit hardest. According to Becker’s Hospital Review, women, on average, spend almost twice as much as men on healthcare. The Kaiser Family Foundation and Journal of the American Medical Association found that “average annual per capital spending among U.S. women ages 10-34 was $3,402 in 2015 compared to $1,891 among men. For women ages 35-44, the spending amount was $4,717 compared to $2,518 among men.”[2]

Financial distress and fear of cost is why 65 million people in the U.S. did not take receive healthcare services in the past year.

Then there’s the time factor. Twenty seven percent of Americans don’t go to the doctor because they don’t want to take time off of work.[3]

If you don’t make healthcare easy, people are either not going to do it, or they’re not going to go to you. And when they don’t go, it’s more expensive for the payer in the long run because of complications that result from lack of care. It’s that simple.

People want affordable and easy and convenient. They get that in most everything else they shop for. You can even buy pet food from Amazon and have it delivered to you tomorrow. If we can do this for our pets, why not healthcare? Easy access. Quick. Affordable. The Amazon experience.

Younger people are choosing telehealth and clinics for their healthcare. Why? Easy. Affordable. Quick.

What are you doing to make healthcare easy, affordable and quick for the consumer?

If you are being proactive with the consumer, they’ll continue to come to you. If you’re solving their problems, they’ll come to you. Do you have telehealth? No? We can help you implement it. Yes? We can make it convenient through our app.

The answer is keep it simple, and HealthQRS offers you the technology platform to do just that. We recently showed the HealthQRS system to the CFO of a regional health system, who told us she needs a platform that can help her patients the same way HealthQRS can.

HealthQRS provides the technology platform that allows you to give consumers a retail shopping experience in healthcare. We even provide access to transportation for healthcare. If they prefer telehealth? We make accessing telehealth at your facility easy.

We have an app that is so easy to use, it’s like the Amazon experience for healthcare. We customize it to your services and locations so that it looks like it’s your app.

Easy. Amazon makes everything easy. That’s what we love. That’s what we buy.

HealthQRS makes healthcare easy. We make easy for people to buy YOUR healthcare. And we make it easy on you to implement our solution.

We can help you beat your competition. Just like every with other purchase consumers make, they want a positive shopping experience with healthcare. They want choices. They want convenience. They want discounts. They want quality.

People want the Amazon experience. And you can give it to them. But you need the technology infrastructure to provide this.

You need HealthQRS. We can have a workflow session with you, customize our solution just for you, and in a matter of weeks have you ready to go.

We have created the platform that, with one easy-to-use app, allows you to give consumers all this and more. Our solution is extremely affordable. It’s simple to integrate into your existing systems. And it’s a cinch for your consumers to use.

HealthQRS gives people access to an app that is a front for the system that works behind the scenes allowing you to do exactly what this new legislation will require you to do. Bundled payments? A snap. Keeping people in network? Absolutely. Giving them a way to shop for your procedures and services? Touch of a button. Need a ride to your facility? Just a tap on the smartphone. Our app can even arrange for grocery delivery.

Convenience? Absolutely. HealthQRS’ platform enables telehealth connectivity and you can take advantage of it immediately to start marketing telehealth visits to your consumers.

With HealthQRS, consumers can schedule a telehealth visit, pay for it, and have the visit right from the app on their smartphone. Talk about convenience. And if they need more than telehealth, we enable that as well. HealthQRS allows patients to see what their actual out-of-pocket expenses will be before they schedule services. Not estimates. Actual prices.

Our technology enables people to connect to more cost-effective, consumer-oriented healthcare options and we keep them in-network. HealthQRS integrates fully to EHRs and can also enhance existing portals and other patient engagement solutions, improve meaningful use numbers and increase meaningful use funds.

HealthQRS allows you to offer an entire online retail experience with one, easy-to-use platform. And we have developed the only complete e-commerce platform for healthcare on the market. HealthQRS is an e-commerce platform that you can brand for your hospital and that will keep consumers in-network. Our ecommerce platform gives people a full, rich retail experience in healthcare. When they login to the app on their smartphones, tablets or PCs, they see your logo and they think you are providing this experience. And you ARE providing the experience … HealthQRS is providing the platform.

How do we do all of this?

Our solution is built with complicated algorithms that use real-time data: the actual payer contracts by provider + insurance verification information + charity + other business rules to provide consumers with a true out-of-pocket per patient per procedure. HealthQRS interfaces with virtually any existing practice management system and electronic medical record. We have over 30 modules that work independently or all together depending upon your needs to provide a holistic, seamless, total experience for the consumer from start to finish. We combine navigation, the capability to make an appointment, referral management (if needed), payment management and so much more than we can list here.

Our solution is simple to use. We invite you to see for yourself with this 2-minute video of the HealthQRS price transparency tool. Click on this link, then you’ll be instructed to download and watch:

Developing a solution of this magnitude didn’t happen overnight. We started with the consumer experience in mind and spent years drawing on the knowledge of best-of-breed experts to perfect, fine tune and put together this complicated, yet complete solution for medical e-commerce.

In fact, HealthQRS has over 15 years of experience developing healthcare retail experiences for people and our founders have over 50 combined years of e-commerce experience.
